Angelica rivera

An experienced, highly reliable, and focused business manager professional with an exceptional client service record and extraordinary background of construction administration. She has the unique ability to merge her financial skills and detailed knowledge of the construction industry to develop systems for reducing costs without sacrificing quality. She is actively involved in all phases of projects and maintains open communication with every customer throughout the process to ensure that every client is updated regularly on the progress of the project. She ensures that projects progress in a timely manner and within budget by having financial reports done with frequency and accuracy.
Angelica has received numerous recognitions, recently awarded with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “Excelencia Award” and Entergy’s “Power of the People Award,” her leadership at Colmex has established a reputation as one of the leading commercial and residential General Contractors in the New Orleans Metro Area.

roman lopez 

Roman manages and maintains a team of focused, hardworking, and professional construction experts with a solid technical background and strong work ethic. Originally from Colombia where he studied Industrial Engineering and worked in his family business as a professional set designer, where he built sets with high regard for both aesthetics and functionality for some of the most prestigious TV channels in the country.
Roman has been involved in the construction industry for over two decades with a wide variety of residential and commercial building projects. Adept at coordinating with building and engineering professionals for every project stage. He is a strong multi-tasker with the exceptional skill of performing well in a high-pressure and fast-paced work environment.

Christian Pazos

Christian is a hands-on professional with seasoned skills and with over 12 years’ experience, who joined our team in early 2015. He has an Architecture degree from the Universidad de San Buenaventura in Colombia. He has experience in all aspects of the architectural and construction profession as a designer and project/construction manager. He is an excellent team player and is no stranger to tight deadlines and budgets. He can efficiently lead a team of sub-contractors, architects, and engineers to achieve superior design and construction quality. He can best be described as a perfectionist who is highly organized, meticulous, and detail oriented. Christian has actively contributed to the design and construction management of international corporations including Gillette, Kraft Foods, Newell Sanford, the AIA design award winning Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology Regional Academy, and Sanchez Community Center among others. As of 2007, Christian’s focus shifted to residential, commercial, and educational projects.

Mary Maxwell 

Mary has a unique background in business having worked on almost all levels within both the non-profit and corporate arena and has an Accounting degree. She is a New Orleans native, who believes in teamwork and takes pride in her job. Her primary duties include making sure the company finances are in order, all required documents for the company are up to date, handling all accounts payable and accounts receivables, client correspondence, being highly involved in the day to day work process in order to resolve issues as they arise.

David van Leusden

David has over 20 years’ experience in the Commercial and Maritime construction fields. He is a very hands-on leader, who has worked his way up from the field to a leadership role. He is highly adaptable and can handle any project thrown his way. Having a firm belief in attention to details, as does Colmex Construction, David plays a key role in our organization. Our team David can deliver an outstanding product even under tight deadlines. He is an excellent communicator, able to quickly and concisely keep the entire build team up to date and continuously moving forward.

Liliana was born in Mexico and raised in Louisiana, joined the Colmex Team in 2019, she has a very positive attitude. As the program coordinator, Liliana oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of our organization's programs to ensure the successful implementation and alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Her 5+ years of experience in the industry have helped her develop creativeness, resourcefulness, adaptability and communication skills.

KARLA FRUTOS

Karla has an Industrial Engineering degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras and several years of experience in customer service. With her experience and impeccable organizational skills she provides a seamless flow of communications in our office.  She is the welcoming face of our construction company and keeps our office connected and organized, ensuring a positive experience for everyone that interacts with us.

STEVE HANEY
 

Originally from North Carolina, Steve spent the last 2 years soaking in the vibrant culture of NOLA. He is a proud parent to two married daughters.  

 

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from NC A&T State University and an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting from ACC. With over 33 years in construction, he has ranged from a laborer to a licensed General Contractor, with a solid foundation in residential and commercial projects specializing in construction estimating.  In addition, Steve has several certifications (Master) in Water, Fire & Cleaning Restoration from IICRC, complemented by 14 years as a Licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster. 

 

Beyond the professional environment, Steve’s passions include fishing, camping, hunting, golf, disk golf, racquetball, baseball, woodworking, DIY projects, and spending quality family time.
